Student Biography Page
Students will be creating a Student Biography page all about themselves using Google Docs and possibly Google Draw. You are going to be writing this student bio in the 3rd person. That means that you are writing about yourself as if you were someone else. So, I would like you to imagine that you are the media relations person for a big company and it is your job to create biographies of the company's employees for publishing to the Internet. You are a professional and this needs to be done as if it is your job to make the person that you are writing about (in this case, you) is interesting, important and someone people need to get to know. 3rd person means that you will not use "I" or "me", rather you will use "he", "she", "they", or use the persons name (your name). Remember that this is your job and that your company is relying on you to create these profiles so other people can get to know you.
I have provided some examples below, but please note that they are only examples and you do not have to copy them.
Your bio will have a professional image of you. Do not include emoji or other distracting add-ons. The image will need to be at least 4 inches in height and 3 inches in width. In other words, it should be large enough to be easily seen. Layout the bio so that the words and the image work together, but do not conflict with each other. I suggest wrapping the text around the image.
Use complete sentences and DO NOT USE BULLET POINTS. Remember, you are describing yourself to people who do not know anything about you, so the more you can tell them the better. You are going to be given lots of time to complete this assignment, so I would make sure to do at least 1 rough draft and have a peer read it and make suggestions.
The following chart is your rubric/grade sheet from this assignment. This is your opportunity to tell all of us about yourself.
