This project is based on self-initiated learning and the student's interests. Each student is granted 2 class periods to choose a project to work on. They can work on any project, with anyone and sit anywhere in the room. Students are to work on some technology that interests them and are not limited to the programs we have learned. For example, if a student is interested in creating games, they can research game writing software, install it and start learning how to write their own game. This is an opportunity for every student to work on a project that interests them and discover the technology that will assist them in their goal.
The only requirements are that they WORK during the entire hour, that they produce something (even if it does not work or is incomplete) and that they turn in a report that details what they wanted to try, what went right, what went wrong, what they might do differently and if they recommend the technology they chose to others. This will be a FULL one page typed report with standard margins, single spaced and in 12 point Ariel or Times New Roman font. This assignment is worth 20 points and based 1/2 on participation in class and 1/2 on the report.
